Thank you for visiting my world. My name is Jasna and I am the proud founder of the art jewellery brand BoldRay Designs, based in Sydney, Australia. I am the designer and creator of all the jewellery you see on these web pages.
I craft components using mostly resin and polymer clay. However, I experiment with many different materials and techniques. I utilise rubber, plastic mesh ribbons and tubes or gemstones. This extensive curiosity results in a very eclectic assortment of shapes, colours and styles, as well as multimedia constellations. My designs are often one-off trials, tests and dares.
That constantly evolving range of experimental, handmade jewellery pieces cannot be easily replicated and that is why not everything that I create will find its way onto the website. My recent project with recycled plastic is very exciting. It is so very readily available and free. It comes in many colours and thicknesses. Only when I started working with it did I discover that there are so many types of plastic, so many means of home-based recycling and so many creative directions that a project may take. Here is one pair of earrings that I finished recently. It also makes me feel good about preventing at least some of the plastics going to either waste or the ocean.
